It means Peace by Marco Balich for Interni Cre-Action I Milano Design Week

Produced by Balich Wonder Studio

What if peace was a path you could actually walk?

Marco Balich invites us to do exactly that with It means Peace, an installation created with the support of Pasquale Bruni, for Interni Cre-Action.

Visitors embark on a symbolic journey, moving through a dark bottleneck filled with sounds, voices, and messages that evoke the external difficulties of the world. At the end of this passage, a space of light and harmony opens up, represented by an olive tree—a universal symbol of peace and balance.

From this point, the journey continues with the deconstruction of the peace flag, which features the word peace transcribed in seven different languages, reflecting the seven colors of the flag.

The project celebrates cultural plurality and dialogue, both essential for building peace globally. Each word is accompanied by a speech that marks a significant moment in contemporary history when a conflict came to an end.

It Means Peace serves as a silent invitation for contemplation but also encourages action. It is a call to believe in change and to recognize that the responsibility for peace lies with each one of us.
